With Clean Grip, Lifters presents an exciting alternative to the well-known "chalk" - with clear advantages.
Every athlete knows the problem in summer. It's hot, the sweat is dripping and at some point during the set you simply lose your grip on the barbell, pull-up bar or kettlebell. The only thing that helps is to rub your palms dry and carry on, but that's how you lose your momentum, your concentration and you know - it was just the beginning. Classic chalk, known from CrossFit and climbing sports, can help here. The problem, however, is that it varies greatly in quality depending on the manufacturer, smells extremely artificial and is often not appreciated. Even if it is theoretically easy to remove from protective floor mats or clothing, it tends to collect dust in the studio or home gym.
An exciting alternative is the Clean Grip from Lifters Wear. As the name suggests, this is a chalk alternative, but without the "nasty" color. All you need to do is rub a small amount between your palms before your workout and let it soak in briefly. Clean Grip smells pleasantly fresh and natural. No visible film remained on our skin.
The effect on the barbell bar was convincing. You have a strong grip without the bar sticking too much. You can therefore put it down deliberately and then pick it up again for a new set. The grip also remained constant for over an hour during the workout, regardless of whether you were working on the machine or devoting yourself to the free weights again. In the shower, the grip was gone in no time with a classic shower gel.
For us, Clean Grip is definitely an alternative because a) it works great and b) it can be used in any gym/home gym/studio thanks to its composition. It doesn't get any better than this.
The only point of criticism in our opinion is the packaging, as the individual tin was packed again and again in approx. 4 layers of cardboard/paper. You could certainly save on waste during shipping.
It is available directly online.
