The right shorts
Fit & length
- Short & fast (approx. 12-15 cm / 5-6"): maximum hip & knee extension for sprints, box jumps, burpees.
- Allround (approx. 15-18 cm / 7"): stable during lifts, enough air for long metcons.
- Side slits/drop hem: more range of motion for deep squats & lunges.
Material & structure
- Lightweight woven fabric with 4-way stretch: retains its shape during lifts, does not stick during sweaty metcons.
- 2-in-1 shorts (inner shorts): secure hold for double-unders & wallballs, no-slip feeling.
- Mesh panels: Cooling during long rows/runs.

- Elastic drawstring: fits even with heavy cleans.
- Zippered pockets: Key/card safe during the warm-up run.

2) T-shirts & tank tops
Fit
- Athletic fit: close to the body, slips less during toes-to-bar & handstand push-ups.
- Tank tops: maximum shoulder freedom for snatch & overheads.
- Slightly longer hem: stays down during burpees.

- High-performance blends (poly/elastane): lightweight, sweat-wicking, elastic.

3) Oversize shirts
Ideal for warm-ups, skill days or as a lifestyle layer. Loose, breathable, stylish, without compromising on mobility-perfect over a tank or compression top.
4) Outfit recommendations according to workout type
- Metcon/AMRAP (20-30 min):
Lightweight woven shorts (7"), tank top, mesh zones. Focus: Cooling & freedom of movement.
- Strength/Barbell Cycling:
More stable woven shorts (7"), athletic tee. Focus: Support, clean fit, less slippage.
- Engine/run/erg sessions:
Very lightweight shorts (5-6"), breathable tee or tank with mesh. Focus: weight reduction & sweat management.
- Gymnastics/Skills (HSPU, T2B, MU):
Athletic tee or tank, 2-in-1 shorts. Focus: tight fit, no riding up.
5) Size & fit - the perfect fit
- Between two sizes? Choose the smaller size for close-fitting performance and the larger size for more freedom of movement.
- Thigh circumference large? Choose shorts with side slits/more stretch.
- Length: 5-6" for speed & airflow, 7" for allround & lifts.
